Navigating Tech, Social Media & Screen Time
Are you feeling completely lost when it comes to setting tech boundaries at home - both for your kids and for yourself?
I am. So I reached out to Emily Cherkin, M.Ed., a nationally recognized consultant who takes a tech-intentional™ approach to addressing screentime challenges.
She’s coming to MamaDen on Friday, June 23 at 12:30pm ET!
And yes, it is ironic that we will be talking about this via Zoom.
Emily spent twelve years teaching middle school in Seattle, WA, where she watched the rise of both social media among students and technology use in schools.
She has been featured for her work on screentime in The New York Times, The Washington Post, the BBC, NPR, “The Today Show,” “Good Morning, America,” Australia’s “Weekend Today,” and numerous parenting websites, blogs, and podcasts.
Emily offers private 1:1 consulting, parent courses, professional development training, and personalized school presentations built on her tech-intentional™ approach.
As a parent to a 12- and 15-year-old, Emily understands the real-life challenges of parenting in the digital age. She is also the co-founder of The Student Data Privacy Project, an activist group fighting to protect student data in schools. Her book on tech-intentional parenting will be available in January 2024.
